Tintes Reductores

Los colorantes de cuba son uno de los más importantes para teñir y estampar sobre algodón y fibras celulósicas. Tienen una excelente solidez general, que incluye las solideces al lavado, a la luz, a la transpiración, al cloro y al roce. Los tintes de cuba son insolubles en agua y tienen que disolverse en agua utilizando hidróxido de sodio e hidrógeno sulfito de sodio. Los tintes se aplican en una forma soluble y reducida para impregnar la fibra y luego se oxidan en la fibra volviendo a su forma insoluble original.
